A Fireside Chat with Pat Popolizio

The WIBN Atlanta Chapter is more than excited to be hosting a dinner on September 30th! The 2020-21 wrestling season marks Pat Popolizio’s ninth at the helm of the NC State wrestling program since his April 2012 debut. Popolizio was named the 2018 Dan Gable co-NCAA Coach of the Year and the 2016 National Coach of the Year by FloWrestling. He has also been a finalist for the NWCA Division I National Coach of the Year each of the last three years in 2018, 2019 and 2020. He has twice been named ACC Coach of the Year, in 2018 and again in 2020.  He clearly turned NC State into a wrestling powerhouse and he’s just getting started!  Come reconnect with old friends, meet some new people, and Coach Popolizio will be speaking in-person! 

In eight seasons under Popolizio, NC State Wrestling has achieved:

5 NCAA Finalists

18 All-Americans

15 ACC Champions

5 ACC Wrestlers of the Year

2 ACC Rookies of the Year

3 ACC Scholar-Athletes of the Year
