The Wrestlers in Business Network Philadelphia Chapter is excited to host Bill Zadick, USA Wrestling’s Men’s Freestyle National Head Coach, for a virtual call on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. EST. The call is for WIBN members only.

Zadick took the helm at USA Wrestling following the 2016 Olympic Games. In 2017, he led the men’s freestyle team to their first world title in 22 years, the third total in program history. Subsequently, he was named the National Olympic Coach of the Year by the United States Olympic Committee. In 2018, Zadick coached Team USA to a World Cup title, the men’s freestyle program’s first since 2003. Zadick originally joined the USA Wrestling coaching staff as the Resident Coordinator and Assistant National Freestyle Coach in January 2009 and also served as the National Freestyle Developmental Coach. Prior to his tenure at USA Wrestling, Zadick was a volunteer assistant at the University of Iowa for two seasons.

As an athlete, Zadick won a World title at 66 kg in 2006. He also finished seventh at the 2001 World Championships and was a two-time Olympic Team Trials runner-up (2000, 2008). Collegiately, he competed for the University of Iowa, where he was a two-time All-American and a 1996 NCAA champion at 142 pounds.

On the call, Zadick will answer questions regarding the upcoming Olympic Team Trials and the Tokyo Olympic Games scheduled for this summer, how the National Team has been operating during the COVID-19 pandemic and how local communities can contribute to the promotion of the sport.
