WIBN Announces Addition of Career Services Coordinator David Fallon

MANHEIM, PA - The Wrestlers in Business Network (WIBN) is proud to announce that Dave Fallon will now serve as the WIBN's Career Services Coordinator. The WIBN Career Services Program is designed to assist current and former wrestlers with career opportunities.  Since WIBN’s inception, companies from across all industries have indicated that they actively seek applicants with wrestling experience because the skills and attributes found in wrestlers are in such high demand.  This non-profit Program, which is the first of its’ kind, will connect the wrestling community with these companies and provide career opportunities to wrestlers of all levels.

Fallon, a recently retired United States Marine Corps Colonel, served as an Infantry Officer with 27 years on active duty. Assigned to various assignments that took him all over the globe, his operational deployments include service in Liberia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, Central America, and Southeast Asia. Other assignments included service at the US Naval Academy, recruiting duty, and instructor duty at The Basic School. Most recently and prior to his transition, he led the Marine Corps recruiting effort in the Midwest, responsible for fourteen states. During this tour, Fallon worked very closely with the NWCA in advancing the partnership between wrestlers and Marine Corps service.  He holds two master's degrees, an MS in Human Resources/Leadership Development, and an MA in National Security Strategy.

WIBN’s launching of the Career Services Program will include a holistic and inclusive approach.  Initially, focus of the program will be on creating awareness with college coaches and informing them of the opportunities available to their athletes.  Second, the Program will conduct outreach to athletes to encourage them to register for the free Program while also advertising available opportunities.  Finally, Chapter leadership will be leveraged to assist in making athletes and businesses aware of the initiative.  Simultaneously, business outreach will be an on-going effort to onboard corporate partners in providing opportunities.

Fallon is a graduate of Boston College, where he was a walk-on wrestler. Like many who have wrestled, he credits the lessons learned while wrestling as the keys to success as a Marine Officer.

"It is an exciting day for the WIBN to now have Col. David Fallon, on board with the organization. It has been my privilege to work with Col. Fallon on many projects while he was representing the USMC and the Midwest Marines," said Mike Moyer, WIBN Executive Director. "I do not doubt that with Dave working with our chapters, college coaches, and collegiate wrestlers from across the nation that he will carry our mission to new and exciting heights!"

"I'm super thrilled to be part of this organization and the efforts to find career opportunities for our amazing athletes who have committed so much of their life to our great sport. Wrestlers are a unique breed and, like many college athletes, are in high demand within corporate America. I look forward to matching them with companies where they can demonstrate the skills and attributes they learned as wrestlers," said Dave Fallon. "While some for-profit companies service college athletes, we will be unique as a non-profit and servicing only one customer: wrestlers. From all divisions. Men and women."
