WIBN JUNE NEWSLETTER

Manheim, PA - I hope everyone is able to get your businesses ramped up as a growing number of state governments appear to be relaxing restrictions. Over the past few weeks, I have been fielding more calls from WIBN members who have expressed interest in having WIBN National put together a webinar series to address some of the new challenges that business leaders face as they begin ramping up their businesses. Some of the recommended topics that our WIBN business leaders have expressed interest in learning more about include but are not limited to:

  • Best practices for prospecting in the new “virtual” world.

  • Managing staff still working remotely.

  • Tax implications for businesses created by COVID-19

With this in mind, I would like to ask our WIBN members across the nation to please send me suggestions on what topics you would be most interested in hearing about. Through our WIBN network, we have access to incredible speakers, so we will be sure to provide terrific content.

In the meantime, our accounting firm partner, Withum, has provided some great resources that can help you jump start your businesses. Withum is a forward-thinking, technology-driven advisory and accounting firm, assisting clients to Be in a Position of StrengthSM in the new reality of doing business today. In other words, Withum rethinks how business gets done. Please click on the links below to access the material:

Lastly, I want to give a shout out to South Carolina business leader and wrestling ambassador, Tim Morrissey. He has been working tirelessly to establish a WIBN chapter in South Carolina and has assembled a terrific group of business leaders from around the state interested in serving on local chapter boards, but he still needs a few more. If you are interested, please contact Tim at tmorrissey190@yahoo.com.

In closing, please don’t hesitate to call the NWCA office if we can be of any assistance to your WIBN chapter and/or to help establish a new chapter. The more we can galvanize the wrestling community, the stronger we can make our sport and the more business/career development opportunities we can provide for wrestling alumni.
