How did you get involved with wrestling?
My five older brothers wrestled, and I had many friends that wrestled as well. I started wrestling in kindergarten in 1973. I had some success in HS and excelled in my college career.
What do you do professionally? Tell a little about your professional journey. Feel free to promote yourself or your company/business. Include website, etc.
I'm an engineer and business owner. I have been investigating and consulting as an expert witness in the field of automotive accident reconstruction for more than 30 years.
What made you choose that path and why do you enjoy it?
I chose engineering because I was always interested in solving problems and enjoyed and excelled in my HS math coursework.
I visited an engineering firm that specialized in accident reconstruction company that gave me a scholarship and never looked back.
My job is always different, involves travel, an opportunity to meet and work with great people, and my job has allowed me to coach HS wrestling for more than 25 years.
How did wrestling prepare you for your professional career? What were the intangible benefits you learned through the sport (discipline, goal-setting, commitment, resilience, etc)?
The learned discipline and work ethic helped me make it through the Mechanical Engineering coursework at UW-Madison and helped me to obtain both bachelor's and master's degrees.
