What do you do professionally? Tell a little about your professional journey. Feel free to promote yourself or your company/business. Include website, etc.

I am a teacher and assistant wrestling coach at Council Rock High School South. I have been there for 13 years.

My father, Doug Knoblauch, who was my first wrestling coach, started his new company, More Than A Bucket, in 2022, and I have been working with him to help promote his new invention and business.

His website is knobandlock.com.

What made you choose that path and why do you enjoy it?

Starting my own business is something I always wanted to do. My father giving me a chance to learn and grow under his leadership has been an incredible experience. Getting to network with and meet various entrepreneurs in the digital marketing, social media influencing, retail, wholesale, and construction spaces has been so much fun. And, to sell our product all over the country in only our first six months of operation has been truly humbling. We're just getting started and it's exciting.

How did wrestling prepare you for your professional career? What were the intangible benefits you learned through the sport (discipline, goal-setting, commitment, resilience, etc)?

Wrestling for Brad Silimperi and Trap McCormack at Council Rock High School South changed my life. To do this day, I really believe it was the most difficult thing I have ever done. To go four years in a varsity line-up, with a brutal competitive schedule, to work back from a freshman year injury and place at the state tournament was a journey that gave me confidence to believe I can do anything if it matters to me and if I lock in and keep my priorities straight. It taught me to not feel bad for myself in the toughest of times and to battle through adversity. Goal setting, discipline, wrestling gives you life lessons that are transferable as a husband, dad, and in business.
