How did you get involved with wrestling?

I wrestled growing up and loved the sport. Currently I coach at kids wrestling club in Northern Illinois. I'm also a patched IHSA Official and ref HS and Jr. High matches when the schedule allows.

What do you do professionally? Tell a little about your professional journey.  Feel free to promote yourself or your company/business. Include website, etc.

I work with IT leaders and business leaders to help make sense of technology options in the marketplace. Whether infrastructure, call center, or cybersecurity, aligning the business goals with a technology is tough. We do this really well and have a process that helps decision makers get the right technology to power and protect the business.

What made you choose that path and why do you enjoy it?

I started my career selling hardware and software as the internet was growing up. With an appetite for the technical, I kept learning and building the technical acumen and moved into consulting. As I helped more and more companies, I began sharing stories of success and how different technologies solved business challenges and I've had a whole lot of fun doing that for the past 10 years.

How did wrestling prepare you for your professional career? What were the intangible benefits you learned through the sport (discipline, goal-setting, commitment, resilience, etc)?

Wrestling is a process and there is no one path to victory. You have to be willing to learn, refine, and adapt as a wrestler. Same is true in business. Wrestling taught me humility, hard work, perseverance, and grit and I believe that has served me well in my professional career as well.
