2022 WIBN Philadelphia High School Scholarship Winner
Trinity Monaghan and Domenic D’Agostino Named as winners of the Wrestler in Business Network Philadelphia Scholarship Program
Philadelphia, Pa. –The Wrestlers in Business Network – Philadelphia Chapter is proud to announce Trinity Monaghan and Domenic D’Agostino as the 2nd annual winners of the WIBN Philadelphia scholarship program. Both Monaghan and D’Agostino, whose essays were selected by a scholarship committee, will receive $1000 to put towards their future education.
Trinity Monaghan, a Souderton High School graduate, will continue her academic and athletic endeavors at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, PA. Monaghan excelled on the mat and finished her high school folkstyle career as a four-time finalist and two-time champion at the PAUSAW Girls State Championships. Nationally, she represented PA on their women’s national team three times and achieved All-American status in 2021. An honor roll student throughout high school, she also volunteered with various youth clubs and with the Special Olympics. Trinity plans to pursue a degree in sports management and athletic coaching.
Domenic D’Agostino, an Interboro High School graduate, was a two-time place winner in the PIAA state Tournament capping his career as a runner-up in 2022, the first in his school’s history. This fall, he will attend Drexel University and compete for the Dragons under Head Coach Matt Azevedo. Domenic who has volunteered at several youth wrestling clubs is also the recipient of the Devin’s Way Memorial Scholarship recognizing his leadership as an athlete and in his community. Domenic was on the honor roll throughout high school and will be pursuing a major in finance starting this fall.
